Today, in a controlled effort, the boys cross country team beat Carver with a perfect score of 15-50 with the top 7 boys beating Caver’s first runner. Ned Farrington was the top finisher with the boys in a course record time of 14:26 followed close behind by Joseph Carroll, Jimmy Grech, Burke Mattey, Gunner Nee, Beck LaBash, and the sole member remaining from the Hull team, Robbie Hunter. The Boys will look to build on a successful season last year where they won the League Title, Second in D6 at states and qualified for the All-State race.

On the girl’s side, Leesil Gilbert led the girls getting another course record in a time of 19:13. She was followed by Hannah Mattey, Bridget Kondrat, Virginia Coffey, and Erin Toomey. The girls won convincingly with a score of 18-27. A lot of new faces will help build on what was a solid season last year.

The teams will have their next race on Tuesday at 4 pm vs. East Bridgewater and another meet vs. Abington next Friday at 4 pm both at Wheelwright Park. On Friday there will be a cookout during the meet and members of the student body are encouraged to attend.
