In a very fitting sequel to the team’s first meet, the boys beat league contender East Bridgewater by a whopping score of 18-40. The boys top 5 runners took the 1,2,4,5 and 6th places. In first place was Ned Farrington, who beat the previous course record running 15:28 on the 2.82 mile course. The next runner for Cohasset was Joseph Carroll who beat East Bridgewater’s first runner. Just two seconds behind EB’s first runner was Jimmy Grech. After that Burke Mattey and Beck LaBash rounded out the scoring group who all beat EB’s second runner.

On the girls side, they beat EB for the first time in school history. Although EB had the overall individual winner the girls team showed their strength in numbers and Leesil Gilbert came from behind to take second place. After EB’s second runner was both Bridget Kondrat and Hannah Mattey and Erin Toomey, who edged out the third EB runner. After that Virginia Coffee rounded out the scoring for the girls who won 25-34.

Both teams are 2-0 on the season and have their next meet at home (Wheelright Park) this Friday at 4pm where all of the homecoming festivities will begin.
