Cohasset Cross Country Wins State Championship!!!

The Cohasset Boys Cross Country Team won their first ever state championship in Wrentham this weekend and clinched their spots to return again to the All State meet for the second year in a row. The team was lead by senior captain Ned Farrington who finished second in 16:38. Next came juniors Joseph Carroll and Jimmy Grech who both medaled finishing in 11th place (17:27) and 14th place (17:47). Rounding out the scoring group was Burke Mattey 30th (18:26) and Beck Labash who cam in 58th (19:06).  In the 6 and 7 spots was Gunner Nee in 70th place (19:21) and Sam Kefallinos in 132nd place (20:49). The team was able to edge out Ipswich to emerge the state champions for the first time in team history. This team only loses one senior and will for sure be looking to repeat again next year. On the girls side there was some great individual finishes with Leesil Gilbert 19th (21:58), Hannah Mattey 58th (23:20), Erin Toomey 67th (23:48), Bridget Kondrat 93rd (24:42), Virginia Coffey 94th (24:43), Bella Cacciapuoti 107th (25:18), Lia Crouch 120th (25:59).
