Do you appreciate what your veterans have done for your country? If you answered yes to this question, which I pray everyone will, then consider stopping by the Woodside Cemetery on May 19th for the annual Field of Honor, otherwise known as the “Healing Field”.

This Memorial Day celebration will be presented by the American Legion Squander 118, comprised of parents and grandparents who are veterans of war. The Cemetery itself will be filled with an array of American flags that will be a truly mesmerizing display.

The Squander is offering a community service opportunity to any CMHS Student who would like to assist in placing down flags at the Woodside Cemetery at 9 am prior to the ceremony on May 19th. The Squander encourages any student to help. It is one way of truly showing your appreciation for these veterans.

For extra info on this opportunity, feel free to either call Phil Mahoney, Town of Cohasset Veterans’ Service Officer, at (617)-460-0097, call 781-383-9657 or visit the Legion Post #118 at 98 Summer St., Cohasset.
