Cohasset Girls Tennis sweeps Westport

Cohasset girls tennis won their post season match against Westport with a sweep of 5-0. Throughout the season, Cohasset has played a lot of difficult matches, such as Notre Dame Academy, Hingham and Scituate. Cohasset went into the tournament as No. 9 seed with a record of 10-7. They went up against No. 8 seed Westport to win and go on to play the quarterfinal match against No. 1 Sturgis Friday June 8 at 4 p.m. at Cape Cod Community College. Junior Holly Van Etten won her match at first singles. Then, the No. 2 singles slot, sophomore Regan Thomas had an important win. Finally, Junior Diana Sturdy won at No. 3 singles. Then when it came time for doubles, seniors Mary Catherine Crumley and Lucy St. Saveur sweep their matches and junior Sophie Swartwood and sophomore Josie McDougald also won.
